Audiovisual Equipment

The Academy will provide the following audiovisual (A/V) equipment in each meeting room. Note, Industry Update and Student Educational Session rooms do not include the same equipment as all other session rooms.

The Academy will provide the following audiovisual (A/V) equipment in each meeting room:

  • LCD Projector/Screen
  • Laser Pointer
  • Computer (PC) for PowerPoint Presentations as part of the Presentation Management System – the use of personal laptops is discouraged
  • Wired Lavaliere Microphone
  • Podium Microphone
  • DI Box (allows sounds embedded or linked in your presentation to be played over main speaker system)
  • ALD Transmitter
  • Floor Microphones in audience (for Featured Sessions only)

Industry Updates include:

  • Large LCD Display
  • Wired Lavaliere Microphone
  • Infrared headphone system for session participants (to address past noise complaints)

Special AV Requests
Complete the A/V Request Form by March 14, for equipment needs beyond those the Academy will be providing. Internet connections may be available in some meeting rooms, please submit an AV Request form if you would like to be able to access the internet during your presentation. Due to logistical or financial reasons the Academy may not be able to honor all requests.

On-site Help
If you have a problem with the equipment in your session room, DO NOT attempt to fix the AV equipment yourself. The equipment is very sensitive and has strict shutdown and re-start procedures. Please notify an AV technician or Academy staff person as soon as possible. If there is not a technician nearby please click the “Help” button located on the computer screen in your room.
