SAA Board/Undergraduate Student Open House “Mix and Mingle” – NEW for 2010!

Location: Hilton Bayfront, Ballroom M
An open house “mixer” has been added new for AudiologyNOW! 2010. All undergraduate student attendees are invited to mix and mingle with one another and the students of the SAA. Come to the open house for fun, food, and friends!

SAA Reception

Location: Hilton Bayfront, Saphire Ballroom AE
Whether volunteer or not, whether SAA member or not – are invited to the SAA Reception. Network with students from audiology programs across the country and around the world before you head off to Celebrate Audiology.

Celebrate Audiology
Home Run Reception5:30pm-7:30pm, Hilton Bayfront Saphire Ballroom: Get your “Popcorn, Peanuts, Pretzels” at the Home Run Reception! You must pick-up your official Padres game ticket at the shuttle drop-off outside the convention center from 12pm-5:30pm or at the Home Run Reception at the Hilton Bayfront from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. To sit together as a group, collect each group member’s redemption card and redeem them at one time.
Padres Baseball Game7:05-10:00pm, Petco Park Baseball Stadium: Watch San Diego Padres take on the Atlanta Braves in the AudiologyNOW! sectioned off seating! The game will surely be a HOME RUN!!!

ABA Meet & Greet

The American Board of Audiology’s Meet & Greet is a wonderful opportunity to foster professional relationships between Board Certified audiologists and students. The ABA Board of Governors and leading audiologists will be in attendance at this popular event! All Board Certified audiologists and students are encouraged to attend.

Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter Advisors Meeting

All SAA chapter advisors are invited to an SAA Chapter Advisors Meeting immediately prior to the SAA Annual Business Meeting. Nancy Stecker, PhD, SAA National Advisor, will lead the discussion and Jack Roush, PhD, SAA Advisory Committee Chair, will give an historical perspective on the advisory committee and discuss its future. Come hear the latest updates on the SAA, share ideas, and participate in a great networking opportunity with your fellow SAA chapter advisors.

Student Academy of Audiology SAA: 2nd Annual Business Meeting

The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is the official student organization of the American Academy of Audiology. Everyone is encouraged to attend the SAA’s 2nd Annual Business Meeting. Members of the SAA Board of Directors, including president Virginia K. Best, along with SAA Advisory Committee members, other SAA and Academy leaders, and invited guests will be in attendance. Come join us at the meeting and be a part of the future of the SAA.

The Student Research Forum showcases the research of five student awardees. Take this opportunity to hear about their research and be inspired to engage in your own! The Student Research Forum awards are funded by the American Academy of Audiology Foundation with generous support from Plural Publishing.

Students are invited to speak with some of the best known authors, scholars and practitioners in audiology. What an incredible opportunity to meet some of the Academy’s most distinguished members.

Trivia Bowl
4:00-6:00pm
Location: Ballroom 20ABC
Gather your friends and create your own student team (maximum of 10 members). Then get ready to test your audiologic knowledge against seasoned professionals. Sign up for a table at the Trivia Bowl sign-up board located in Academy Central, starting Thursday morning. Prizes are awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams overall and then to the highest scoring student team.
