The American Academy of Audiology’s Political Action Committee (PAC) supported Congressman Brett Guthrie (R-KY) at a fundraising luncheon in Washington, DC, on June 26. Rep. Guthrie is the vice chairman of the powerful House Energy and Commerce’s Health Subcommittee, and he was the lead sponsor for the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Act (H.R. 1539) in the 115th Congress. Rep. Guthrie was integral in helping to pass this legislation in late 2017 and has been a long-time champion for audiology and hearing health care. The Academy looks forward to continuing to work with Rep. Guthrie on important issues throughout the 115th Congress and into the future.

The Academy’s PAC is supported entirely by contributions from Academy members. Click here to learn more about the PAC and make your annual gift.
