Advocacy Visit the Academy Advocacy Booth to receive the latest information on the Academy’s legislative and regulatory efforts. Stop by to find out how you can become more involved in the Academy’s advocacy initiatives by:
- Obtaining updates and alerts on current legislation and regulatory changes impacting the profession of audiology.
- Obtaining important audiology reimbursement, coding, and compliance guidance.
- Finding your elected officials by searching an online database.
- Sending letters to your representative or senators through our quick and easy Legislative Action Center.
PAC posters are available for Academy members who make a contribution to the Academy’s PAC. PAC dollars are critical in supporting our political efforts on Capitol Hill. You may also sign up to be a “key contact” in your congressional district on behalf of the Academy.

American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF) The AAA Foundation partners with the Academy and other hearing-health organizations to promote philanthropy in support of research, education, and public awareness in audiology and hearing science. Visit the AAA Foundation Booth for information on our special event fundraisers (Happy Hour, Cheers for Ears, and Auction 4 Audiology) and philanthropic projects (Marion Downs Lecture in Pediatric Audiology, Workplace Management Lecture, Topics in Tinnitus Lecture, Student Research Forum, Member Assistance Program [MAP], and Jerger Poster Awards). These programs and others are supported with member donations, so become an “audiology philanthropist” and pick up your “I GAVE” pin, when you make a tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund. American Board of Audiology (ABA) It’s time to get board certified in audiology to demonstrate your commitment to quality hearing and balance patient care. Join the thousands of audiologists across the globe that have attained voluntary certification from the ABA as a demonstration of their commitment to staying up-to-date in the field of audiology. ABA certification identifies and recognizes audiologists whose knowledge base and ethical practices are consistent with professionally established standards and who continuously enhance their professional knowledge through continuing education. The ABA also offers the Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification (CISC®) for audiologists who are experts in all areas of cochlear implant knowledge and the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC®) for audiologists who have acquired specialized knowledge in the field of pediatric audiology. HEAR Careers The HEARCareers Employment Center is an extension of the Academy’s year-round employment website, www.hearcareers.org. It provides employers, preceptors, job seekers and students a place to connect and learn more about current career opportunities available in the field of audiology.
